honestly I don't think I've ever been more dissapointed in a movie's ending.
up until this film the rebuilds have been pretty good- faithful retellings of the original story that new fans can understand easily
HOWEVER. THIS FILM TAKES EVERYTHING BUILT UPON AND THROWS IT INTO A MEAT GRINDER TO CREATE SLOP
yes. I may definitely be biased becuase I am a kawoshin shipper till i die. BUT COME ON.
Shinji didn't reflect ANY of the romantic interest Mari was throwing his way. SO WHY DID THEY GTE PAIRED TOGETHER AT THE END??
I don't even think Shinji liked Mari as a friend. That girl was straight up weird to him for what????????? cuz he's the most important pilot???
who in the world meets someone for the first time and immediately starts SNIFFING THEM. NOT TO MENTION IN THE MANGA SHE'S AS OLD AS YUI????
OK. anyways. what is GOOD about this film?
I quite like the part of this movie that puts closure on the original 3 (or atleast Rei and Asuka). Allowing them to find themselves and put a close to all this craziness instead of putting them through human instrumentality like EoE did was a refreshing change.
And, as always, Shinji is being Shinjil what more could you want from whiny twink #1000000
